The Old Couple
An elderly couple sat quietly on the porch, watching the sun go down.
After a while, the wife turned to him and asked,
“Do you still find me attractive?”
The old man smiled.
“Of course.”
She looked at him, a little hopeful.
“Really?”
He nodded calmly.
“At our age…”
A brief pause.
“…it’s not about attraction anymore.”
She frowned slightly.
“Then what is it about?”
He leaned back, completely relaxed.
then paused just long enough—
“…we don’t have many options left.” 😄
