People are complimenting Prince William’s ‘respect’ for his father when a toddler inquires if he was the King.
The royals have made several public appearances this year, with Prince William’s most recent engagement taking place at a Liverpool school.
He was seen speaking with children at St Nicholas Catholic Academy in the city center, but he was particularly lauded for his ‘respectful’ response to one inquiry.
Among the students was Mohammed, a fifth-grade student who was especially interested in meeting the royal.
In footage that has just surfaced on social media, he asks William, “Are you the King?”

And in a courteous nod to his father, King Charles, the Prince replied, “No I’m not, I’m his son! What’s your name?”
Most impressively, Mohammed was able to capture a selfie with the future King.
People in the comments praised the Prince’s answer to the query.
One said: “I love the humility and respect in this moment. Instead of saying, ‘I’m the prince’, he simply said, I am his son.
“That speaks volumes about the honor he has for his father. A beautiful display of grace and humility.”
Another agreed, and added: “Just love how he said ‘I’m his son’, he didn’t say ‘no I am a Prince.'”
A third wrote: “I like that he didn’t say ‘not yet!'”
“The first video is absolutely adorable!!!,” another added.
“Our Prince of Wales is just the best and I’m sure the lucky little kids and everyone else will never forget meeting the future King.”

It follows Prince William’s absence from the BAFTAs in London’s Royal Festival Hall last week to spend time with his family in the luxury Caribbean paradise of Mustique.
The privately owned island is a popular destination for celebrities and royalty.
It will be the family’s second holiday, following their New Year’s ski trip.
Kate Middleton has apparently gained a ‘fresh perspective on everything’ since slowly returning to public duties following her cancer treatment. She has expressed her appreciation for the ‘simple yet significant things in life’.
One of Kate’s priorities for the year will be the establishment of her Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood.
It focuses on improving people’s’social and emotional’ skills to promote improved mental health.
