Meghan Markle sends ‘message’ to Royal Family with subtle choice in Netflix series

Meghan Markle is sending a signal that she doesn’t have to dress like “a Duchess anymore,” according to a style expert who analyzed Meghan’s clothing choices in season two of ‘With Love, Meghan,’ which premieres August 26.

The show’s trailer has been released, following mixed reviews for the first season.

Meghan launched her food and lifestyle show on the streaming platform in early March, teaching viewers how to bake focaccia bread, manufacture bath salts, and entertain guests. During the first season, Meghan showcased her “quiet luxury” wardrobe of fitted essentials.

Cynthia Kennedy, a California-based personal stylist, believes Meghan’s style for season two of her Netflix program sends a clear statement. She stated, “Her new style is sending everyone the message that I don’t have to dress like a duchess anymore. I get to dress like myself and appear more approachable, current, authentic, and genuine.”

The stylist also discussed the many looks worn by the Duchess between seasons one and two of Meghan’s program.

She elaborated: “Her decisions appear deliberate and more like a conscious drive toward comfort, vulnerability, relatability, and ease without sacrificing that sense of polish that keeps her aspirational. It’s a delicate balance, and I believe she’s achieved it.”

In season one, Meghan dressed in “Put-together looks that were almost ‘Duchess-lite’, clean tailoring and muted neutrals”. Whereas in season two, her style felt “softer, relaxed, effortless, and more lived-in.”

The expert recommended: “It signals that she’s not trying to perform ‘royalty’ anymore, but instead connect with people as a modern woman, wife, and mother.”

The Duchess of Sussex will once again host friends and celebrities at her gorgeous California estate, where she will share cooking, gardening, and hosting secrets.

The first series even featured a cameo from her husband, Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex. It is unknown if he will return, but the second series will consist of eight episodes, all of which will be uploaded on Netflix at the same time – midnight for viewers in the United States and 8 a.m. for those in the United Kingdom.

In the teaser, Meghan can be heard annoucing: “I love the idea of spending time together and seeking new ways to show people you care.”

In a statement released by The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, following a new signing of a Netflix deal, Meghan shared: “We’re proud to extend our partnership with Netflix and expand our work together to include the As ever brand.

“My husband and I feel inspired by our partners who work closely with us and our Archewell Productions team to create thoughtful content across genres that resonates globally, and celebrates our shared vision.”
