The mom in the picture has hit back after being criticized online when a man posted a photo on Facebook without her permission.
In 2016, Molly Lensing and her 2-month-old daughter were stuck inside a Colorado airport back.
After hours of delays and multiple rebookings, a male stranger took it upon himself to post a picture of the mother and child and post it on Facebook.
In this photo, Molly is seen sitting with her cellphone in hand while her daughter was lying on a blanket at her feet.
The man posted the photo with tha caption: “Albert Einstein said, ‘I fear the day that technology will take on our humanity… the world will be populated by a generation of idiots.’”
The photo instantly went viral, which left Molly to face the brunt of it
Accordingly, she was heavily criticized and insulted by strangers for leaving her baby on the floor.
What made matters worse was that this mom only found out about the photo after it had been shared 65,000 times.
Molly accidentally became the victim by strangers who didn’t even know the full story. They shamed her for “ignoring” her baby.
Not long after, Molly finally spoke out…
She told that “We had the unfortunate luck of being stuck in the middle of the Delta computer shut-down,”
This exhausted mom placed the infant on the floor to stretch out when the photo was taken. She was also trying to contact her worried family to inform them of the delay.
Her flights were delayed and re-booked so many times that she spent 20 hours sitting in airports with her two-month-old baby Anastasia .
She said: “Anastasia had been held or in her carrier for many hours. My arms were tired. She needed to stretch. And I had to communicate with all the family members wondering where the heck we were.”
The mother said she can ignore hurtful comments that have been directed her way most of the time, but there are times when the image haunts her.
She said she is powerless compared to the internet. Her main aim is to be best mum she can be to her girls and knows within herself that she is cherishing them and raising them as best as she can.
