Patsy Cline, an American vocalist, has influenced other aspiring country music stars with her moving voice and country/pop crossover success. However, in this video, one grandmother goes where no other Cline lover has ever gone before.
Vera, 90, was listening to Patsy Cline’s 1961 classic “I Fall To Pieces” when she had an epiphany: rewrite the lyrics from the perspective of a senior. And the outcome is a musical masterpiece that will have you tumbling out of your seat.
In this video, Vera is seen addressing a group of other grandmothers and grandfathers. After unveiling her new hit track “We Fall To Pieces,” she warns any remaining kidnappers: “If any of you think it’s not true, I’ve got news for you.”
As Vera begins to strum her acoustic guitar, we can’t stop laughing. With lyrics like “we fall to pieces, just when we’re having a ball” and “we fall to pieces, each time we forget our Geritol,” Vera has surely struck gold with this country remaster, and we can’t wait to see what she comes up with next.
