Old Farmer Jones lived on a quiet country road…
Until they built a new high school right across the street.
Traffic picked up fast, and before long, his free-range chickens were getting hit — three to six a week!
Fed up, he called the local police.
“Do something about these crazy drivers!” he pleaded.
So the officers put up a sign:
🚸 SCHOOL CROSSING
If anything, drivers sped up.
Next, they tried:
⚠️ SLOW – CHILDREN AT PLAY
Still no luck. Drivers ignored it and went even faster.
Finally, Farmer Jones asked,
“Can I make my own sign?”
The officer agreed, anything for peace and quiet.
A week later, the officer drove by to check… and nearly fell over laughing
