An elderly man decided to take a nostalgic trip down memory lane and visit his old college campus. Walking into the familiar student hostel, he found room number 3 and gave the door a gentle knock.
When a young student opened it, the old man smiled warmly and said, “Excuse me, son. May I come in? I actually lived in this exact room thirty years ago when I was a student here.”
The young man was happy to oblige and welcomed him inside.
The old man walked around the room, a look of pure nostalgia on his face as he took in his old surroundings.
“Incredible,” the old man whispered softly. “The same old room, the same old wooden study table, the exact same ventilator, and that same old window opening out into the garden.”
He walked over to the corner of the room and patted the mattress. “And look at that… the exact same old bed.”
But as the old man leaned down to inspect the vintage bedframe, he froze in surprise. Hiding flat on the floor directly under the bed was a young, terrified-looking girl.
The current student’s face went completely pale. Panicking, he instantly blurted out, “Oh! Wait, sir, please don’t get the wrong idea! She’s… she’s just my cousin! She accidentally dropped her earring under there and she’s just searching for it!”
The old man smiled knowingly, shook his head, and replied:
“And the exact same old story!”
