My grandpa went on a cruise and somehow managed to turn the entire ship upside down.
At check-in, the cruise staff smiled and said, “Welcome! Your room is on Deck 14.”
Grandpa frowned.
“Deck 14? Back in my day, we called that the top. And remind me again… why are we living on a boat?”
That evening, the staff announced, “Dinner is at 7 p.m. Formal attire, please.”
At 7:05, Grandpa showed up wearing cargo shorts.
The waiter stared at him.
Grandpa proudly pointed at his shorts.
“What? These are formal. They have eight pockets.”
The next day, the cruise director announced, “The buffet closes at 9 p.m.”
At 10:30, Grandpa casually walked in carrying three plates.
“I’m just getting started.”
The crew finally gave up trying to control him.
Then the cruise director approached Grandpa with a smile.
“Sir, we’re upgrading you to a luxury suite.”
Grandpa looked surprised.
“Why?”
“You’ve won bingo four times, taught the captain how to fish, and somehow convinced 20 passengers that the buffet was free.”
Grandpa smiled.
“And they tipped me for the information.”
The cruise director sighed.
“Congratulations, Grandpa. You’re no longer a passenger.”
Grandpa grinned.
“So I’m the entertainment now?”
