One quiet afternoon, a burglar broke into a house.
He quickly rounded up the couple inside, tied the woman to a chair, and pointed his gun at the man.
“Alright!”
“Hand over your cash, jewelry, and anything valuable!”
The man immediately burst into tears.
With a trembling voice, he pleaded,
“Please… take everything!”
“Take the money, the TV, the jewelry…”
“…just untie her and let her go!”
The burglar paused.
He lowered his weapon for a moment and smiled.
“Wow…”
“You must really love your wife.”
The man quickly shook his head.
“Oh, no… you’ve got the wrong idea.”
The burglar frowned.
“Then why are you begging me to let her go?”
The man glanced nervously toward the front door and whispered,
“Because…”
“…she’s my neighbor’s wife.”
The burglar blinked.
The man added,
“…and my wife will be home any minute.” 😂🤣
