An eighty-year-old woman made national headlines when she announced she was walking down the aisle for the fourth time.
The next morning, a local TV anchor interviewed her about the upcoming wedding. “It is truly remarkable to find love again at your age,” the interviewer smiled. “But looking back at your life, everyone is dying to know: your first husband was a wealthy banker, your second was a flashy circus ringmaster, your third was a traditional pastor, and now, your new fiancé is a prominent funeral director. Why such a bizarrely diverse lineup of men?”
The elderly woman smiled brightly, adjusted her glasses, and replied:
“Well, dear, it’s quite simple when you think about it. I married one for the money, two for the show, three to get ready, and four to go!”
