Even though he is approaching 80 years old, the iconic Hollywood hunk maintains his wicked good looks and gruff style. The renowned actor recently chatted with PEOPLE Magazine about his work in the industry over the last four decades, and the accompanying photographs from a rare photoshoot at his ranch has fans’ tongues churning.
According to sources, Selleck will release a new memoir, You Never Know, on May 4, 2024, in which he portrays his acting career as “accidental”. Needless to say, many people are excited to read its pages when it is released.
It’s easy to suppose that Tom Selleck may be proud of his achievements in the film and television industries. Having established his career on Magnum P.I., the actor continues to get plaudits for his roles. His most recent surge in popularity stems from his work on Blue Bloods, which is already in its final season, but it wouldn’t be surprising if he ended up doing other things in the future.
Selleck may be 79 years old, but based on his appearance, he seems ten years younger.
The actor recently spoke with PEOPLE Magazine at his 63-acre ranch in Ventura County, California, stating that he became an actor merely because he wanted “to get a job”.
“People would remark, ‘Oh, he got bitten by the acting bug’ or, ‘He wanted to be a star.’ I’ve never talked like that in my life. “I just wanted to get a job and work,” Selleck stated.
He surely worked. Selleck’s sparkling career began in the 1960s, and the fact that he continues to win new fans today is a measure to his star power and unmistakable charisma.
Part of his attraction has always been his famed good looks, which have been admired by women around for decades. On that front, it appears like Father Time is having problems slowing the actor down. Following his PEOPLE interview, new photographs of Selleck were leaked online, and the reactions were as expected.

Some readers may recall how the 79-year-old aroused alarm among his admirers last year after being seen while out and about dressed in running gear and wearing a greying beard.
