While weddings come in all different shapes and sizes, \there seems to be a common thread from one celebration to another. Weddings are expensive. In fact, the average wedding is $28,000.
Brides and grooms may spend money on many different items, yet food tends to be at the top of the list for expenses. After all, we want everyone who attends the wedding to have a good time and walk away with a good memory of the day.
While this typically is the highlight of the day, there are times when it can also be a problem. That is what one bride shared on Reddit, because she had a wedding guest that was doing something unexpected.
Reportedly, the wedding was relatively small and they focused on having good food for everyone. There were only about 25 people in attendance, but a friend of hers asked a few days before the wedding if his daughter and her husband could come.
They came, and they did more than show up for the day. They brought along some Tupperware. The new guest filled up multiple Tupperware containers, seven of which were filled with food from the buffet and three that were filled with homemade cookies.
To top it all off, she grabbed a few bottles of beer and some centerpieces to take them home as well.
All of this would’ve been fine, but when the bride looked at the gift from this woman and her husband, all she gave was a 5 dollar bill.
Before you judge, this is not a woman who needed the food. She is known for being a freeloader and although she has money, she just chooses not to spend it.
